neurological treatment

Dynamic Brain Solutions specializes in neurological treatment using specific exercises that are developed in order to enhance brain and behavior functions.  We provide a broad range of services from brain based learning to treat childhood development disorders as well as chiropractic neurology to aide athletes performance and prevent injury.

We utilize the following services and technology to treat our patients

Interactive Metronome (IM):

The interactive metronome is used as a neuro-motor assessment and treatment to enhance neurological processes of motor planning and sequencing. Motor planning and sequencing are critical to efficient human function. The IM provides a structured, goal-oriented process that challenges the patient to synchronize a range of hand and foot exercises to auditory stimulation. The patient attempts to match a rhythmic beat with repetitive motor actions.

Video Nystagmography (VNG):

The VNG assessment and treatment program evaluates eye function as it relates to tracking, reaction time, nystagmus, accuracy and velocity. This information is related to brain function and a treatment plan is designed to enhance brain function, resulting in improved function of the patient’s eyes. The eyes are the window to the brain, and the VNG provides vital information as it relates to diagnosing and treatment of the patient.

Computerized Assessment Posturography System (CAPS):

The CAPS is a very complex program that provides integral information on the patient’s nervous system. Tests provide information on the patient’s stability, fatigability or adaptation to sensory information, reaction time as it relates to the body, the bodies ability to target objects, assesses the patient when going from a seated to standing position, and measures the patient's ability to perform work.

Eye Light Therapy:

Eye light therapy provides visual therapy with the use of color lens and light therapy. This therapy has been used to treat conditions such as fatigue, learning difficulties, behavior issues, digestive problems, urinary incontinence, motor dysfunction, athletic performance, multi-tasking problems, depression, back problems, anxiety, memory and focusing issues, insomnia, headaches, lack of motivation, balance disorders, and irritability to name a few.

Cold Laser Therapy:

Cold laser therapy is used to treat the patient at the physiologic level as it relates to regeneration and healing. This process consists of shining a light, which is the cold laser, on the injured area, for a certain amount of time and at different frequencies, depending on the condition being treated.

BrainTrain:

The BrainTrain software program, specifically Captain’s Log system, utilizes interactive exercises used to improve behavior, heighten self-esteem, enhance self-control, memory and improve processing speeds. There are tasks on every level to help patients with ADHD, TBI, strokes, learning disabilities, schizophrenia, and other cognitive impairments

.

Active Release Technique:

The doctor’s at Slone Chiropractic are certified in Active Release Technique (ART) which is a muscle therapy technique used heavily in athletics as well as with repetitive stress disorders. The process of ART is to effectively rehabilitate any muscle(s) that has been injured, helping to restore normal function. This technique compliments chiropractic adjustments very well for patients who have been involved in auto or industrial or sporting accidents.
